How it works:

  • There are eligibility requirements. See here.
  • You must have mortgage approval in principle from one of the main banks or from the council. If you don’t have this, you should start getting this together asap.
  • The first 30% of homes will be offered to applicants who have lived in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown for at least 8 years.
  • The remaining 70% will be offered to all eligible applicants in the order applications were made.

There will be an info evening the week of 23rd September to help anyone who is putting their application together.

These Affordable Purchase homes aren’t the only ones that will become available this year in Shanganagh Castle. Cost rental and social housing allocations and applications for 230 apartments will open by the end of this year. I have put together a guide to all the various Affordable Housing Supports here.
