Here is the September 2024 update received from the DLR project team:

The works involve constructing a ~ 1.55km road called the Glenamuck District Distributor Road (GDDR) from the existing Enniskerry Road at De La Salle Palmerstown Rugby Club (DLSP) to the existing Glenamuck Road South Roundabout and a ~1.8km road called the Glenamuck Link Distributor Road (GLDR) which runs from the new GDDR to tie in with the existing Enniskerry Road south of Barnaslingan Lane.
A fully signalised junction will be introduced on Ballycorus Road. In addition, the western part of the existing Glenamuck Road will be upgraded between the Golden Ball pub and the Brambledown housing estate.

Progress on the Glenamuck District Roads Scheme (September 2024)

Mobilisation to site commenced in April 2024. This involved erection of the site compound at Carrickmines and general site clearance.
Two public Information Meetings which were held at the De La Salle Palmerston rugby club in May 2024 in advance of the commencement of major works.
Accommodation works associated with De La Salle Palmerstown Rugby Club have been
ongoing and a new carpark at this location has been completed.
Construction works in the “greenfield” sections of the project, (areas away from existing public roads) commenced at the beginning of the summer and will be ongoing over the duration of the project. The initial works in these areas involved site clearance and earthworks, with the construction of the road base and new drainage all advancing.
