Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council are proposing to take the Silverton estate in charge. “Taking in charge” is the process by which the council takes over public areas from the original developer and takes on responsibility for maintenance and upkeep.
For Silverton, this relates to the footpaths, roads, green areas, lighting and water infrastructure. You can see a PDF of the full map here.
As required by law, the council are undertaking a public consultation before legally taking the areas in charge. It remains open until 9th November 2023. You can make your views known here.
