Cllr Oisín O'Connor

Green Party Councillor for Glencullen-Sandyford, including Ballinteer, Stepaside, Kilternan, Leopardstown, Ballyogan & Glenamuck

Following enquiries I made last week, we have received another update on Blackglen Road resurfacing as the end of the works edges closer.

– Tomorrow 13th Feb: 1 week of resurfacing Blackglen Road from Lamb Doyles to M50 overbridge.

– 20th February: 2 weeks of laying new surface on Blackglen Road from Lamb Doyles to Lamb’s Cross.

(all weather dependent as surface can’t be laid if too much rain)

– The contractors will move any traffic management signage that’s unnecessarily blocking footpaths and cycle tracks. This is something that I have asked for as too often contractors forget that signs on footpaths and cycle tracks renders them unusable.

I have also been told that the responsibility for ensuring the road is safe is on the contractor, Murphy’s. If anyone has suffered any vehicle damage due to the road conditions, please contact Murhpy’s directly regarding claims.
