Want to save money on your energy bills and make your home cosier without the big upfront cost? The DLR Home Energy Savings Kits available for borrowing for free from all Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Libraries are so popular there’s a waiting list.

I’m delighted to announce that in our 2023 budget, money was made available to purchase more of the two most important tools in the kit: Thermal Leak detectors and Plug-in Energy monitors. There 25 of each available and you can borrow them with your library card starting next week. Whether you own your home or are renting these can help with day-to-day tips or inform your next home improvement project.

The Home Energy Savings Kits are an easy way to identify where you could save on your energy bills. A previous user:

“I was surprised with some of the results, especially some areas of heat loss which were unexpected. Glad I borrowed it before I made any decisions for home improvements, it will help to prioritise where I spend the money.”
